Proper Trout Handling
Though not the only part of fly fishing that we love at Fin River Gear, putting fish in the net is perhaps the best. Once you have that fish netted, though, the important part is just beginning. If you plan to release your catch—as we do with the overwhelming majority of fish we catch—it is of utmost importance to handle fish with care so they can swim off and continue to grow and thrive. Keep ‘em wet, keep ‘em cool, and don’t squeeze are some of the most important things to remember when handling a fish.
