CPW Restocking Brown Trout

Although brown trout (Salmo trutta) are a non-native species to Colorado, they are a staple of almost every Colorado river and are a favorite catch for our team here at Fin River Gear. The money we spend on our licenses and from government sources such as the Pittman-Robertson Act goes to programs like this run by Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW) to restock our lakes, rivers, and streams. Take a look at this video from CPW about the annual egg collection at North Delaney Butte Lake that provides a large portion of the brown trout we catch.
